I started dating ';Jen'; two and a half months ago after not dating for 11 months after my fiancee whom I dated for 4 years left me. ';Jen'; is 25 and still lives at home, she is a sweetheart and extremely gorgeous. Her family loves me. My problem with her is that she EXTREMELY EMOTIONAL AND CLINGY. Two weeks after we started dating she told me that she loved me. When I told her that I need to take thing slowly, but that I really liked her, she cried for 4 hours. After two months of dating her, I realized that she doesn't give me those ';butterflies in my stomach';like I had when I met my ex.even after two months she doesnt want to ever go out or do things, all she wants to do is stay home and Watch American Idol . I realized that I like her but don't love her even though she is crazy about me. I know that the relationship with my ex is over, but I feel like I should still continue dating around and find a better match for me. She never wants to do anything and I am getting very boredPLEASE READ. NEED ADVICE. New girl is EXTREMLY CLINGY, starting to want to back out of the relationship.?
I think you should break it off now before she starts picking out wedding dresses. She's way more into you than you are into her. Hurting her won't be easy, but better now than later. The longer you wait, the more serious she will become.PLEASE READ. NEED ADVICE. New girl is EXTREMLY CLINGY, starting to want to back out of the relationship.?
explain this to her but leave the bit about your ex out because the ex approatch can seriousely hurt . If i got told this by the boy liked that much i would try change as i wouldnt want to loose him !! so try tht first she may change for the better in the clingy area
It sounds as though she's a little immature. I'm 25, and yes, I still live with my parents, but not by choice- I'm a single mum to two children, and have been refused rental applications non-stop since The start of January. (Nobody wants to rent to a single mum, one income, with no rental history)... So, that's me- at 25, I'm responsible for me and two children, busy as hell looking for a house, (WAS working, but that fell through) and your gf wants to cry and sit at home watching American idol...Sorry, I bet she is nice, but in comparison to you almost starting a life of marriage and commitment with your ex, to crying and Idol... big step back in maturity there. Old advice... don't lead her on too long.
